The Foundation Prestegårdslåna i Melhus
The foundation consists of the protected vicarage and its surrounding garden close to the Melhus church in Sør-Trøndelag. The foundation, which was established in 2002, has no employees. Nevertheless, it does extensive restoration, preservation and documentation work besides being responsible for conferences, guided tours and education.
In several rooms in the vicarage there are exhibitions that tell us the history of the building and the people who lived here. In Hovdenstova (one of the living rooms on the ground floor) you will find specialist literature on cultural heritage management and the foundation’s own documentary pamphlets.
The board of the foundation is made up of five members. Basic to the work of the board are the protection document of the Directorate for Cultural Heritage from 1996, the statutes of the foundation from 2002 (revised in 2009 and 2013), and the Foundation Act.
